Week One in Review
GameTalkHQ officially opened its hypothetical doors at 12:00am CST on May 1st, 2008, just over a week ago. We thought that you may be interested in seeing what exactly went on during that first week, so we went through and pulled some numbers. What follows is a breakdown of some interesting details regarding the time from 12:00am CST May 1st, 2008 to 12:00am CST May 8th, 2008.
29 New Members joined during our first week.
621 Posts were made during the first week, with many made since then.
The first member to join after we opened to the public was lilroo503.
The first post made after we opened was made by Richie and can be found here if you want to check it out.
An honorable mention should go out to DarkBlitz whose post here was made one week and one minute after we opened.
In addition to those figures, we want to let you know a bit about the staffing situation on the forums.
Wacko_Jacko and Mario_Freak4 have been put in charge of the Moderating Team for the GameGab Forums.
Lord_Sobek has been given the task of handling all Forum Maintenance and has been charged with setting up the GameTalkHQ Ventrilo Server.
LogGamer has been made the Members' Liaison Admin and will work with all suggestions and membership issues.
Unrealevil has been placed in charge of submissions and site content.
Speaking of site content, Unrealevil has been hard at work figuring out a system that can allow for user submitted reviews and guides that will ensure that all aspects of the site meet GlobalGamingHQ standards. This system is being debugged at this very moment, and we hope to be able to release it soon.
It's nice to be able to look back at a week gone by and see so much that has happened. We promise, though, that this is just the start. Stay tuned to see much more action from GameTalkHQ, and don't miss your chance to be involved. GameTalkHQ aims to cater to a more mature clientele than the majority of other game-related sites, but that does not mean we do not accept gamers of all ages. We are about maturity over age, games over work, and community over pride. Come on in and see what we have to offer YOU!
